First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 18, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if adding a low dose of radiation to a combination of targeted and immunotherapy drugs before surgery works better than using the drugs alone for head and neck cancer. The goal was to shrink tumors more effectively to improve surgical outcomes and potentially lower the chance of the cancer coming back. The trial was designed for adults with newly diagnosed, operable head and neck cancer who had not received prior treatment for it. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
