New combo aims to spare cancer patients from radiation

Summary
This early-stage study is testing if adding two immunotherapy drugs (cemiplimab and cetuximab) to standard chemotherapy before surgery is safe for people with advanced head and neck cancer. The main goal is to see if this stronger pre-surgery treatment can work well enough that patients might not need the standard radiation therapy after their operation. Researchers will enroll about 40 eligible patients to carefully monitor for side effects.
