Tracking the fight: study maps survival after second cancer surgery

Summary
This study aims to understand what happens to people who need a second surgery because their head and neck cancer has come back or didn't fully go away after initial treatment. It will track 400 patients to see how long they survive cancer-free, how the surgery affects their ability to eat and speak, and their overall quality of life. Researchers will also analyze tumor genetics to learn why some cancers return after radiation.
