New hope for frail seniors: gentler cancer treatment trial seeks to control disease with fewer side effects
NCT ID NCT06998069
Summary
This study is testing a new, less intense treatment plan for frail seniors aged 65+ with head and neck cancer. The goal is to see if a tailored combination of chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy, followed by radiation, can effectively control the cancer while being easier for older patients to complete. Researchers will measure how many patients can finish the full treatment course and track their survival and side effects.
