First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study takes tumor samples from 120 people with head and neck cancer and grows them in the lab as mini tumors called organoids. Researchers will test different treatments on these organoids to see which ones work best, with the goal of choosing the most effective therapy for each patient and avoiding unnecessary side effects. Participants must be over 18, have advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth, throat, or voice box, and be scheduled for surgery.
