Scientists test drug duo in battle against tough head & neck cancers

NCT ID NCT03370276

Summary

This study tested whether combining two existing cancer drugs, cetuximab and nivolumab, could help people with advanced head and neck cancer that had returned or spread. The first part aimed to find the safest dose of the combination. The second part aimed to see if this combination helped patients live longer. It involved 95 adults whose cancer had progressed despite prior treatment.
