Could hepatitis b become 'Untransmittable' with treatment?

NCT ID NCT07449091

Summary

This study aims to understand if people with hepatitis B who have undetectable virus levels in their blood also have undetectable virus in other body fluids like saliva and semen. Researchers will compare 55 participants—some on long-term treatment, some untreated, and some healthy controls—to test if the 'Undetectable=Untransmittable' concept applies to hepatitis B. The goal is to gather evidence that could reduce stigma and fear of transmission for people living with hepatitis B.
