First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a new handheld robotic tool, HandX, to help surgeons perform nipple-sparing mastectomy through a single small side incision. The goal is to reduce scarring, pain, and recovery time while keeping the breast's natural look. About 15 women already scheduled for mastectomy will take part, and researchers will track safety, healing, and cosmetic results for up to a year.
