Robot-Assisted mastectomy: smaller scar, same safety?
NCT ID NCT07292246
First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a handheld robotic tool called HandX can help surgeons perform a nipple-sparing mastectomy through a single small side incision, reducing scarring and improving recovery. About 15 women who already need a mastectomy for early breast cancer or genetic risk will take part. Researchers will track surgery success, complications, and patient satisfaction for up to a year to see if this approach is safe and practical.
