Left-Handed advantage? study probes stroke recovery mystery

NCT ID NCT07357181

Summary

This study aims to understand if a person's dominant hand (left or right) affects how well they recover arm movement after a stroke. Researchers will observe 500 adults who recently had a stroke, measuring their arm function early on and again six months later. The main idea is that left-handed people might recover better, possibly because their brain's motor networks are organized differently.
