First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 39 times

Summary

This study tested whether a traditional Hammam bath experience (warm/cold pools, sauna, and aromatic oil massage) improves general health and perceived well-being more than a regular massage or a placebo. Twenty-two healthy adults with chronic stress participated. Researchers measured heart rate, sleep satisfaction, and other markers right after and 24 hours later.
