First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding halotherapy (breathing in salt particles) to regular preseason training helps elite female soccer players. 28 players from Turkey's top league were split into two groups: one did normal training plus halotherapy, the other just trained. After 12 weeks, the halotherapy group showed better breathing muscle strength and aerobic performance. The goal was to see if this simple addition could improve athletic performance.
