Could your own hair follicles cure baldness? new trial begins
NCT ID NCT07107841
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a treatment called autologous hair follicle secretome (aHFS) for androgenic alopecia (common baldness). The treatment is made by taking hair follicles from the person, growing them in a lab, and collecting the substances they release. These are then injected into the scalp over a year. The trial involves 60 people and compares the active treatment to a placebo. The goal is to see if it safely increases hair density and thickness.
