Summary
This study aimed to learn why some people develop alopecia, a condition causing significant hair loss. Researchers examined genes, the immune system, and skin microbes in 39 participants aged 2 and older with immune-related hair loss affecting at least half their scalp. Participants provided blood, skin samples, and completed questionnaires to help uncover the underlying causes.
