First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 39 people with immune-related hair loss affecting at least half their scalp. Researchers collected blood, skin samples, and swabs to study genes, immune signals, and skin microbes. The goal was to better understand what causes alopecia, not to test a treatment. Participants had one or more clinic visits over up to 5 years.
