First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests a treatment for biliary tract cancer (a rare and aggressive cancer of the bile ducts or gallbladder) that cannot be removed by surgery. The approach combines hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC), which delivers high-dose chemo directly to the liver, with standard systemic therapy. The goal is to shrink tumors enough to allow surgery or improve survival. About 40 adults with newly diagnosed, advanced biliary tract cancer will take part.
