New hope for stubborn stomach bug: researchers test gentler antibiotic combo

NCT ID NCT06561711

Summary

This study tested two different antibiotic combinations to eliminate Helicobacter pylori stomach infections in people whose previous treatments failed. Researchers compared a newer regimen containing minocycline to a standard therapy, looking to see if the newer option could work just as well while causing fewer side effects. The trial involved 480 adults who had confirmed H. pylori infections and had been treated before.
