First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a treatment tailored to the specific antibiotic resistance of a person's H. pylori bacteria works better than standard guideline-recommended therapy for people whose first treatment failed. About 450 adults with persistent H. pylori infection will be randomly assigned to one of the two approaches. The goal is to see which method achieves higher eradication rates, with fewer side effects and better patient adherence.
