Scientists hunt 'Good Viruses' in gut to fight bowel disease
NCT ID NCT07240181
Summary
This study aims to understand how viruses in the gut, especially those that attack bacteria, differ between healthy people and those with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers will collect stool samples from 30 IBD patients and 10 healthy donors to analyze these viruses and bacteria in the lab. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to new, targeted treatments in the future, but this study itself does not involve giving any treatment to participants.
