Could a simple gut pill help tame arthritis?
NCT ID NCT05718583
Summary
This small, early-stage study tested whether a dietary supplement called short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) could help control rheumatoid arthritis. It involved about 20 people whose arthritis wasn't well-controlled by their main medication. Researchers gave participants the supplement and checked their gut bacteria and immune system to see if it made a difference.
