First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at how the bacteria naturally living in the gut and diet may influence colorectal cancer risk in people with Lynch syndrome or other inherited colon polyp conditions. Researchers will collect stool samples, colon tissue, and diet/lifestyle questionnaires from 77 adults during routine colonoscopies. The goal is to better understand the link between gut bacteria, diet, and cancer risk, but this study does not test any treatment.
