First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at how the bacteria in your gut (the microbiome) might be linked to diarrhea caused by cancer treatments. Researchers will follow 150 adults starting cancer therapy and collect stool and blood samples to see if certain gut bacteria or markers in the body predict diarrhea. The goal is to understand why some people get this side effect and others don't, which could lead to better ways to prevent or treat it.
