Scientists probe Gut-Brain link in Parkinson's before treatment begins
NCT ID NCT07418658
Summary
This study aims to understand how Parkinson's disease affects the gut before patients start any medication. Researchers will compare 100 people with untreated Parkinson's to healthy volunteers, looking at gut bacteria, intestinal function, and digestion speed. The findings won't provide treatment but may help future research understand the early stages of Parkinson's disease.
