First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether a dietary fiber called resistant maltodextrin is safe and tolerable for people with Parkinson's disease. It also looks at how the fiber changes gut bacteria and whether it helps with movement and non-movement symptoms. Half of the 30 participants get the fiber, the other half get a placebo. The goal is to see if improving gut health can ease Parkinson's symptoms.
