First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study aims to understand how the stomach and intestines digest food after bariatric surgery. Researchers will collect digestive samples and use a swallowable capsule that measures things like acidity and movement in the gut. The study includes people who have had gastric bypass or sleeve gastrectomy, as well as those with obesity who have not had surgery. The goal is to learn more about the body's digestive changes, not to test a new treatment.
