Scientists search for gut clues to halt Alzheimer's

NCT ID NCT06039267

Summary

This study aims to understand if the community of bacteria in the gut is different in people with early Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment compared to healthy adults. Researchers will observe 44 participants, including those with memory issues and healthy volunteers, to see if lifestyle changes affect their gut bacteria. The goal is to gather initial data to see if targeting the gut could one day help slow or prevent memory decline.
