First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested whether gut-brain neuromodulators (Flupentixol-Melitracen) can improve symptoms in people with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) who still have issues despite standard acid-reducing drugs. 164 adults with GERD took part. The goal was to see if these drugs can safely reduce heartburn and other symptoms, offering a new option for those not fully helped by current treatments.
