Summary
This study is testing if changing gut bacteria with a short course of antibiotics can help people keep weight off after successful dieting. Researchers will enroll 200 adults with obesity who first complete a personalized weight loss program. Participants will then receive either antibiotics or placebo pills to see if this affects their gut microbiome and their ability to maintain their new weight over a year of follow-up.
