Gut bacteria reset: new hope for Parkinson's patients?

NCT ID NCT03575195

Summary

This study explores whether changing the gut bacteria in people with Parkinson's disease can improve their symptoms and make their medication work better. Researchers will first examine how gut bacteria relate to symptoms, then test if using antibiotics to reset gut bacteria helps 86 participants who experience medication fluctuations. The goal is to see if this approach reduces Parkinson's symptoms and improves daily function.
