Scientists test 24-Strain 'Gut Bug' cocktail for IBS relief
NCT ID NCT04598295
Summary
This study tested whether a daily mix of 24 beneficial bacteria and fibers (a synbiotic) is safe and can help people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). For 12 weeks, 48 adults with IBS took either the synbiotic or a placebo pill. Researchers closely monitored safety and used advanced tests to see if the treatment improved gut health and symptoms.
