Scientists dig into the gut to uncover link between bowel disease and depression
NCT ID NCT07252427
Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and depression by looking at gut bacteria and body chemicals. Researchers will compare samples from 120 people in three groups: those with both conditions, those with just IBD, and healthy individuals. The goal is to find specific biological patterns that could lead to better ways to diagnose and treat patients struggling with both illnesses.
