Summary

This study looks at whether bacteria in the gut and mouth are linked to a higher risk of stroke in people with narrowed neck arteries. Researchers will measure certain waste products from bacteria in the blood and track who has a stroke over time. No new treatments are being tested — the goal is to better understand the connection between diet, bacteria, and stroke.
