First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the types of bacteria in your gut can predict if you will respond well to biologic treatments for spondyloarthritis, a type of inflammatory arthritis. Researchers will compare the gut bacteria of 80 people starting biotherapy (anti-TNF or anti-IL17) and see which ones improve. The goal is to personalize treatment choices and avoid ineffective therapies.
