First seen Oct 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study explores whether altering the gut microbiome can improve how people with Parkinson's disease respond to their medication. Researchers will first analyze gut bacteria in 86 participants, then give some antibiotics to reset the microbiome. The goal is to reduce 'OFF' time—when medication isn't working—and ease motor symptoms.
