Gut bugs boost cancer fight? trial tests transplant with immunotherapy

Summary
This study is testing if changing the bacteria in a patient's gut, using a treatment called a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT), can make standard immunotherapy work better against advanced melanoma. About 128 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard immunotherapy alone or the immunotherapy plus the FMT treatment. The main goal is to see if the combination helps keep the cancer from growing or spreading for a longer time.
