Gut bacteria could be key to stopping kidney Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT07037004
Summary
This study is testing if adding a specific probiotic (CBM588) to a standard immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) can better prevent kidney cancer from coming back after surgery. The trial will involve 62 patients who have had surgery for high-risk kidney cancer. Researchers believe the probiotic may change gut bacteria in a way that helps the patient's immune system fight cancer more effectively.
