Scientists search gut for clues to cancer in High-Risk families

NCT ID NCT02371135

Summary

This study aims to understand if the bacteria living in our gut and our diet affect cancer risk in people with inherited conditions that make them prone to colon cancer. Researchers are collecting stool samples, colon tissue from routine colonoscopies, and diet questionnaires from 77 participants. The goal is to gather knowledge, not to test a treatment, to see if these factors are linked to developing growths or cancer.
