Gum surgery recovery boosted by gel and laser combo, new study finds
NCT ID NCT07169357
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether applying a hyaluronic acid gel (Gingigel) and using a special light therapy (photobiomodulation) can help gums heal better and with less pain after a common gum surgery called gingivectomy. About 38 adults with enlarged gums will be split into three groups: one gets both the gel and light therapy, one gets only the light therapy, and one gets standard care. Researchers will track healing, pain, and quality of life for three months after surgery.
