Blood clot vs. gum graft: which works better for receding gums?
NCT ID NCT05633511
First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests two methods to treat receding gums: using a patient's own blood to create a healing membrane (PRF) versus the standard tissue graft from the roof of the mouth (CTG). About 50 adults with gum recession will receive both treatments on different teeth to see which one works better. The goal is to find a less invasive option that avoids a second surgical site.
