Gum recession showdown: which membrane works best?
NCT ID NCT07308405
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested two surgical techniques for fixing receding gums in 50 adults aged 18-35. Both methods used a coronally advanced flap, but one added a platelet-rich fibrin membrane and the other a chorion membrane. The goal was to see which better reduces gum recession and improves gum attachment over 6 months.

What this could lead to
If one method proves better, it could offer a more effective way to treat receding gums and improve gum health.
