Summary

This study looked for a link between gum health and a substance in the blood linked to heart disease risk. Researchers measured this substance in the blood and saliva of 61 people with clogged leg arteries. They compared levels between people with healthy gums, gum disease, or no teeth, but did not test any treatments.
