First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special gel, made with hyaluronic acid and octenidine, can help gums heal faster and better after standard deep-cleaning treatment for periodontitis (serious gum disease). About 26 adults with advanced gum disease will either get the standard cleaning alone or with the gel added. Researchers will check healing markers, blood flow, and bacteria levels over 3 months.
