Summary

This study compared two treatments for deep bone loss caused by severe gum disease. 26 patients had one deep defect treated with either a gel made from their own blood (PRF) or a protein-based product (EMD). Researchers measured gum pocket depth and attachment levels over three years to see which treatment worked better long-term.
