Summary

This study tested a special gum surgery technique (EPPT) alone or combined with enamel matrix derivative and a bone graft material to treat bone defects caused by gum disease. Fifty-eight adults with moderate to advanced gum disease participated. The goal was to see if the combination improved gum attachment and reduced pocket depths better than surgery alone.
