Can natural gels boost gum healing? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07415148
First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at whether adding hyaluronic acid gel or a special platelet-rich fibrin (Alb-PRF) to standard deep-cleaning treatment helps people with advanced gum disease (stage III periodontitis). 51 non-smoking adults aged 30-60 will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: standard cleaning alone, cleaning plus hyaluronic acid, or cleaning plus Alb-PRF. Researchers will measure gum health and inflammation markers at 1 and 3 months to see if the extra treatments improve healing.
