Summary

This study aims to understand the link between gum disease, smoking, and specific inflammation markers in saliva. Researchers will compare saliva samples from 116 people with and without gum disease, who are either smokers or non-smokers. The goal is to see if these markers could one day help diagnose gum disease more easily.
