Free groceries and cooking classes: duke tests new weight loss group visits
NCT ID NCT06797453
Summary
This study tested if group doctor visits, combined with cooking classes and free healthy groceries, are a helpful way to manage weight. 43 adults with obesity from a Duke weight management clinic were randomly assigned to either attend these group sessions or use online modules. The main goal was to see if participants found this 'food is medicine' approach acceptable and useful.
