Shared appointments aim to help kids control diabetes
NCT ID NCT05431686
Summary
This study tested whether group doctor visits could help underserved children aged 8-12 with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes. Over 12 months, small groups of children and their caregivers met quarterly with a medical team to learn about diabetes technology and management. The goal was to see if this approach was practical and could improve blood sugar control, self-care skills, and quality of life.
