Group therapy boosts PTSD recovery in new study

NCT ID NCT03887559

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding a group-based stabilization and skill-training program to regular individual therapy helps people with long-lasting post-traumatic stress recover better. About 160 adults receiving outpatient mental health care will take part. Half will get the combined treatment, and the other half will continue with individual therapy alone. The goal is to see if the group sessions improve personal recovery and daily functioning.
