New group therapy trial offers hope for PTSD relief
NCT ID NCT07302334
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific type of group therapy, called Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), is practical and acceptable for treating PTSD in a regular Swedish psychiatric clinic. It will involve about 30 adults with PTSD to see if they can complete the 14-week program and if it helps reduce their symptoms, depression, and improves their quality of life. The main goal is to understand if this therapy works well in real-world healthcare settings, not just in research studies.
