NCT ID NCT04300855
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily dose of green tea catechins (a natural compound) can prevent low- to intermediate-risk prostate cancer from getting worse in men who are not receiving immediate treatment. Over two years, 115 men on active surveillance will receive either the green tea extract or a placebo. The goal is to see if the extract reduces the chance of cancer progression on repeat biopsies.
